Lieutenant General Nguyễn Văn Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Ministry’s Investigation Agency, sent a letter of commendation on behalf of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security to the Đồng Nai Provincial Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police, the Criminal Investigation Department, and the Institute of Criminal Science, recognizing their close coordination and rapid action in tracking down and arresting the suspect.
The Ministry of Public Security decided to grant special rewards to 17 units, including departments under the Đồng Nai Police, several units of the Ministry, the Criminal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, and the Phước Bình Ward Police — all directly involved in the operation — with bonuses ranging from VND 15 to 20 million per unit.
Additionally, five members of local security teams in Đăk Nhau Commune and Phước Bình Ward each received VND 5 million, while five citizens who provided valuable crime reports were awarded VND 5 million and one Honda Wave RSX motorbike each.
At the same ceremony, the Đồng Nai Provincial People’s Committee presented a VND 500 million reward to the provincial police and other individuals and collectives who contributed to the successful resolution of the case — a recognition of their professionalism, dedication, and effectiveness.
Earlier, on the morning of October 3, residents discovered three victims — Đỗ Duy T. (47, the homeowner), his wife Chu Hồng H. (48), and their grandson Đỗ Tiến Th. (11) — dead at their Thiên Hạnh agricultural trading agency in Hamlet 6, Đăk Nhau Commune.
After an urgent investigation, authorities arrested suspect Lê Sỹ Tùng (33, from Thanh Hóa, residing in the former Bình Phước province) on charges of murder and robbery.
The case, classified as extremely serious, was solved quickly, reinforcing public trust in law enforcement’s efficiency and determination in combating violent crime.
