AI Cameras Record Traffic Violations: No More Luck, No More Favors

On Pham Van Bach Street alone, in just 12 hours on September 24, two cameras recorded 1,798 violations: 1,452 red-light violations, 343 cases of not wearing helmets, and 3 vehicles going the wrong way. On the Noi Bai–Lao Cai expressway, a single camera recorded 236 violations in two days, with 97% of drivers failing to fasten seat belts. These seemingly “minor” violations are direct causes of many accidents.

The key advantage of AI cameras lies in objectivity and transparency. AI does not tire, does not discriminate, and cannot be swayed by personal connections. Every violation is captured with images, cross-checked with vehicle registration data, and transferred to authorities for handling. This eliminates disputes, reduces corruption risks, and forces genuine compliance with the law.

Bad habits such as running red lights, skipping helmets, or ignoring seat belts have long been warned against and taught in schools and driving lessons, yet many still ignore them. AI cameras change the game: violations that once might have gone unnoticed are now inevitably recorded and fined.
